Engineering projects of Glendoe’s scale are few and far between and usually involve a very experienced international team, just as they did in the past. This is certainly true of Glendoe, which involves expertise from four continents, with a particular variety of nationalities drawn from mainland Europe – alongside many native workers, of course.
Glendoe’s remote location means it’s necessary for many workers to live on site for all or part of the construction period. To accommodate them, a workers’ village has been built which can accommodate at least 250 people. This in itself is a big project, requiring the construction of dozens of accommodation units and associated services.
